Volunteer Work: PAWsitive Bones

I’m excited to share this project I photographed as a contributing photographer for By And For, a collective of BIPOC photographers who volunteer our photography services to local BIPOC-owned small businesses. This fall, I worked with a local organization called Food Shift that works to reduce food waste and create employment opportunities through culinary job training for people overcoming employment discrimination. A new part of their business is called PAWsitive Bones, dog treats made from upcycled bananas and spent grain. I was thrilled to help them create some product images to show off their treats, which help to generate the revenue necessary for them to operate and serve the Bay Area with their incredible work. I worked with food stylist Fanny Pan, who volunteered her time with me–thank you Fanny!
